This 4 day cruise was our 5th with Carnival and 40th overall. We selected it to celebrate our 54th anniversary. Being experienced cruisers, we expect some problems and weren't disappointed.

Getting onboard was no problem, about 1/2 hr from being dropped off by friends til we were in our cabin. First problems....no water, phone didn't work, TV remote didn't work, no paper and pen to leave messages to cabin steward. No Cabin steward until 9 am the following morning. Got our water and a bucket of ice (no refrigerator) and TV remove fixed. Got a note from the ship saying several aft decks were without telephone service and to use the house phone by the elevators. They didn't work either. Finally found a house phone that worked.

My wife has all kinds of dietary problems, so we bring breakfast bars that she can eat and she orders tea, citrus sections, and bananas to be delivered each morning. That first morning, dead ants in the citrus sections and the banana was absolutely ROTTEN. I went down to the breakfast buffet to get her a grapefruit and the lines were looooong (but only on the first day. After our cabin steward reported the problem with the delivery, a manager brought up another tray for my wife and couldn't stop apologizing.
