Traveled with children

It was a big, beautiful ship that was kept clean and smoke free. But that was it. The pillows were flat and lumpy like popcorn. The food ranged from ok to disgusting. That was in the buffet and dining room because all other restaurants you have to pay for. Not really wanting to pay for extras like food and activities for the children which you had to do for a lot of the activities.. Definitely had a European feel with food and service. Staff was stiff and unfriendly. Didn't appreciate topless girls in swimming pool. Not family friendly at all.

All of the fun tournaments (ping pong, table tennis, dodgeball) or crafts you and to be 18 and older. We had 18 in our party with 7 being 16 and younger. Tried the kids club. Don't know if they were overwhelmed with so many kids but my daughter was in the 7-11 year old group and the first day they didn't do what was on the program, which she was excited to do. They yelled at the kids and told them to shut up. My son was in the 3-6 year old group and the second day they cut off his water slide bracelet without talking to the parent. They told me it was their responsibility to do that. Since they do not take the kids to the slide I told them it was not. I had already stood 1/2 hour in line to get the bracelet. The water attendant already gave my son permission to do down it. Very mad but nobody would do anything about it. Ironically, I saw kids younger and smaller going down the slide all week. Suggestion to MSC don't do anything to the children until you have talked to the parents! The kids club put 40-50 kids together with 4-5 workers and would yell at them. Suggestion put them in groups of 10 with 1 worker and rotate. Easier to manage. The workers were not kid friendly at all!!! Did you know Europe has Hand, foot and mouth disease? Well 3 of the children in our group found out. Clorox wipe stuff down every night would prevent this.

Tried to rent ping pong and table tennis after 8pm. Not allowed even though the person had to work until 10. The shows were spectacular but of the same thing: singing ,ballroom dancing and variety with different themes but got boring after the 2nd night. Only did one excursion: Stingray in Nassau. Boring! Had 36 people stand in a circle while they brought 1 stingray around to touch and hold. Not allowed to take pictures but could buy for $75. All 6 of our cabins were staterooms with balconies, small especially shower.

Miami

Left with no problems.

St. Maarten

Heads up for a public beach there are business who have set up chairs and umbrellas. They don't want you to put your things in the sand in front, it's public you can.

San Juan

Took a city tour, interesting but not worth the $15 a person.
