This was our first Disney cruise and first cruise ever for our 9 and 6-year-old daughters. We booked over 15 months ahead of time so we could get one of the aft extended balcony cabins. So we were very excited about the trip with much anticipation.
First off, July is an extremely hot and humid time to be in Florida. We were not prepared for the humidity coming from California. The embarkation was seamless and very organized. We loved our cabin with the balcony and there was lots of storage space even with four giant suitcases. The split bath was awesome.
I agree with the other reviewer who also traveled on this ship in July (but they went on the Eastern itinerary) the food service was lacking. We were so bored at dinner each night and our kids drove us crazy because they were bored as well. Dinners took FOREVER! At one point my husband was so annoyed for us always being the last family to leave (over two hours later) he said something to our waiters. The waiters were pleasant but it was obvious they are overworked. The food was okay. We opted last minute to pay extra and go to both Remy, the French adult only restaurant, and Palo, the Italian one. Both were excellent and it was nice to not have to eat at the regular rotational restaurants. Definitely worth it. If you can only afford to do one I suggest Palo. It is less expensive and we loved it!
Beautiful. You must go to the adult only beach. OMG!!
