I was really looking forward to this cruise our first with RCI . We had previously cruised with Celebrity , HAL, NCL and Thompson so thought this would be right up our street and what's more it was from Southampton brilliant!

Check in went smoothly and once onboard we went to upgrade our drinks packages . We spoke to the crew member dealing with drinks packages, who informed us we didn't have a drinks package. As we booked directly with RCI we went to guest services who eventually after some convincing rectified the issue. Result !

We then went to find our balcony stateroom and was pleased with the one we had chosen although the decor was slightly dated but otherwise no real issues. So far so good. We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the ship returning to our stateroom to unpack as the luggage had been delivered. Well most of it anyway.
