This was our 3rd cruise aboard the Oasis. And, it was actually our 3rd cruise in the same cabin on the ship. We were there with another couple, longtime celebrating our 25th anniversaries.

We spent a fabulous pre-cruise night at the Embassy Suites in FLL. After a leisurely morning, and a fine breakfast, we headed out for the ship. Our friends were wow'd with the sheer size of Oasis. And, all week we had the chance to introduce them to all her neighborhood features.

Our embarkation night dinner at Chops was on-point. Chops has delivered, in our opinion, much as it always does when we go there. It is a legitimate fine-dining experience. Most of the rest of the nights, we went to the MDR where Yogesh and his assistant waiter, John, took great care of us in the 5th floor "Silk" room at 6pm traditional seating. The brand new menu concept was less "herb and spice" driven than the previous theme. Oasis was in only its 3rd week with this new menu. We liked the selection, and each night had difficult choices narrowing down what to order. The food designs were executed well, we thought. One other night, on the way to the Aqua Theatre, we simply stopped by and enjoyed Johnny Rockets for dinner.

Cabin Review

Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony

The Cabin is large enough, and in fact pretty typical for a Royal Caribbean ship. The balcony was oversized, which we love. We again enjoyed the CP view neighborhood. Our stateroom attendant was not the favorite one we have ever had on our now 17 cruises. However, she was adequate. Cabinets in the cabin provided all the space we needed, and everything worked as it was supposed to. The on-tv services (such as room service orders, billing statement access, messages, etc.) worked just as they should. The air temp controls worked well, which means we stayed comfortable. There was plenty of hot-water. The cabin steward closet directly next-door was noisy for the first time ever for us. That was a disturbance, particularly one night. Still, we would return to this cabin yet again.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We didn't take an excursion, so I'm not sure why I was required to fill in this field. :-)

San Juan

We had a leisurely stroll. Old San Juan never disappoints us.
