We chose this cruise for the itinerary which was fantastic, we were on the adriatic explorer cruise. The ship on the other hand was a nightmare not a dream. We complained on numerous occasions about the smell of cigarette smoke in our cabins, our cabins were inside cabins so the smoke couldn't have come in from a window or anywhere other than the air con. We were asked if we were smoking in our cabins, as if we would complain if it was us who were smoking in there, we are all non smokers. We rang reception at 11pm one night and someone came down straight away and admitted they could smell the cigarette smoke 5 minutes later the cabin boy came with an air freshener tin to get rid of it. Haha everyone knows you can't get rid of the smell of stale cigarette smoke with air freshner it just masks it for that period of time.

We also complained about the vibration from the engine which was always at night our bodies were still vibrating for a while after, the noise and vibration made it impossible to sleep, most nights the whole cabin vibrated and shook all night. These cabins should never be sold to paying customers. If we had had these rooms cheap then that would have been our fault but we paid as much for this holiday as we would have with a 5* cruise company. It has taken them 3 months to acknowledge our complaints and we had an email today to say that the smell of cigarette smoke was resolved by them spraying the cabins with air spray. What a joke we were offered 65 pound between 4 adults in 2 cabins off our next cruise with them. It's not the money it's the principle. Their after cruise care is shocking once they have your money the don't give a damn.

Also the other disappointing aspects of this cruise was the fact you had to wait for 20 minutes most nights to get a drink as lack of staff not lack of enthusiasm from the staff.
