This was our first experience with Viking and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We had an absolutely fabulous time from the moment we landed in Oslo to our departure from Stockholm. We initially chose this cruise for the itinerary, especially St. Petersberg and the Hermitage but it was the other ports of call that so exceeded my expectations. I loved all the Scandinavian destinations especially Bergen and Helsinki.

The level of customer service was exceptional - more then once, I said Viking could provide training to other industries in customer service. The personnel were amazing - for example, the first night on board, our cabin steward added a Viking bookmark to the book on my bedside table. It was a little touch but indicated a wonderful attention to detail. All our interactions with staff from dining personnel. to excursion staff to cabin stewards were all positive and friendly, we felt truly welcomed.

Having taken other cruises, this one is now my gold standard. One of my favorite amenities was the snow grotto and thermal pool - very relaxing after a day of touring. The dining options were wonderful and our meal at the Chef's Table was not to be forgotten. Another factor that made our cruise so much fun is that other travelers were friendly and well informed, many were returning Viking guests. Our cabin was spacious and the veranda was well used as we cruised into port and for watching sunsets. I am looking forward to our next Viking excursion...
