Having sailed with celebrity cruises several times we chose this cruises sailing out of Barcelona as our daughter lives in the city,so it was easy for us to fly out and stay with our daughter and then all of us cruise together. Check in was very well organised considering Constellation is a fairly large ship.We were onboard by about 1.15 and cabins were ready for use almost immediately. Our cabins were chosen by us as they appeared to be next to us if 6000 and6001 both at the very front of the ship.As soon as we approached our cabins we saw a problem, there was a watertight safety door between us and we had to make a 80yd walk round the the other side of the ship to get to our daughters cabin. We were told by someone it would be OK to go through the doors but after two days our cabin stewardess give us a warning about using the short cut so for the rest of cruise we had to do the long walk between cabins.

We found the ship to be spotlessly clean everywhere,it never felt crowded. We ate in the MDR every night on second sitting and the service we received from our waiter Willy and his assistant was faultless, the food was excellent. The only grumble I have about the restaurant was the tiny portions of vegetables served with the meat and fish.I had fillet steak one night and it was served with 2 chips, Food was very good in the Ocean view buffet and even with the ship being full we always got a table. We used the Cafe Bacia every afternoon and loved the tea and cakes. Entertainment was very good .The ship absorbed the number of passengers very well, there was never any trouble finding seats or sunbeds. There are a number of quiet little corners all over the ship for reading etc. Some ships can be difficult to find your way round but this is not the case with Constellation. We would definitely sail on Connie again as this is the biggest ship we will travel on.

Good size cabin overlooking front of ship.Very quiet location

Port Reviews

Cannes

Tender port transfers well organised.Found enough shops open even on a Sunday. We did the white train ride round town and enjoyed it.

Zadar

We loved wandering around this port finding a lot of Roman and historical sights.Beautiful waterfront and many nice restaurants

Ship docks about 2 mile out at new cruise terminal so a ships transfer is required.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

As we have been to Rome several times we decided to stay in town as it is not easy to travel from the ship to go to Rome by train. Not alot to see in the port some bars and a few shops
