We arrived on the Viking Star with high expectations, and were quite disappointed with our experience. Although we have been on several other ocean and river cruises, this was our first time sailing on a Viking ship. We were attracted to this cruise because of the itinerary in the Baltic, called Viking Homelands, which was outstanding, but there were other aspects of the trip which were not up to par. To simplify my comments, I will outline the "pros" and "cons" of our trip, from our perspective.
