There were quite a few negatives about this cruise, which upset me as I normally love RCI cruises.

The queues outside departures were disgusting. There were elderly people who were having to stand for hours. I understand that there was an issue with the ship arriving late but it was handled disgracefully. Once we got through to check in it ran very smoothly and the cabin staff did a great job of turning the rooms round so quickly.

The ship in my opinion was very well maintained, all areas were clean and sparkling.

Port Reviews

Southampton

Hotel prior to travel was very nice. Not much in Southampton.

Embarkation was farcical but disembarkation ran smoothly.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar was ok to have a wander around, couple of nice bars and cafes.

Very disappointed as we couldn't go up the rock to see the apes as the cable car wasn't working due to high winds.

Good port if you want to buy alcohol as its very cheap.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Had a wander round Civitavecchia as done Rome and didn't feel up to the travel. Two words - Don't bother!
