Received a "free" cruise with option of staying in "local" hotel. Ramada Plaza Resort is about twenty minute drive from required time share tour. The two hour tour sales pitch didn't start until we had been there almost an hour. The breakfast consisted of pastries and drinks - not enough to hold a diabetic for the 51/2 hours we were there!

The representative was new, but knowledgeable, but the RCI folks did not pick up on the fact that we already owners. The closer seemed to have a problem understanding we were not interested in adding their resort to our existing accounts, and we were suppose to board the cruise ship by 3:00. GPS showed a 1hour 11 minute drive to the port.

First time cruisers were impressed by the boat, but we found the buffet did not have enough room to keep it stocked. The food was good and had a good variety, and the workers were very friendly and tried to keep everyone happy. Ice machines often were empty.

Cabin Review

Cabin Inside

Cabin was smaller than usual. Good storage space and very clean. Beds were very uncomfortable, and noise from outside made sleep nearly impossible.

Port Reviews

Freeport

As we just wanted to do a little shopping, we were told Lacaya would be the better choice. After being jammed into the taxi for about 20 minutes (and no AC), we found the overpriced duty free shops and the straw market full of items found in most flea markets in the states. There are no quaint local shops to wander. Had some cold drinks, and grabbed a taxi back to the ship with other like-minded travelers.
