We have sailed a decent amount I think but have not been to much of the Baltic Sea areas and as always Holland America had an interesting Itinerary and decent prices. The entire ship was COLD for the whole time! Never experienced that before. Food for the most part we think has always been exceptional (with the occasional mishap like any other restaurant). We were pleased with the menus in but if I remember correctly trying to get your 2nd glass of wine or Water refills/etc... In the formal dining room was a bit of a hassle as you had to almost chase the person down. The ship itself was in need of some noticeable minor 'repairs' here and there and the plumbing (bathrooms) stopped up a few times and it seemed to be at the dining room area where they are needed the most. The bathrooms were clean for the women but comments by some men I heard were not so good (perhaps if there aim was better??). Just sayin!
Our room was great as was the room Stewart. We had a room with Veranda and even had a whirlpool tub! This was great as I pulled some shoulder muscles and was able to 'ease' those muscles in the tub. Room was a great size as well. This was the smallest ship we had sailed on I believed but the nicest in some ways and some ways not. I think on a 'bit' larger ship you would have just a 'tad' different/amount of entertainment as far as variety. Will always sail with HAL as we feel they are just a step above and safe. But it is also good to sail with competition to see what they have to offer and variety is the spice of life.
Our cabin and Room Stewart was GREAT! Nice and clean, No smells, Bed nice and Comfy, Big bathroom with double sink, tub and shower. We had room service every morning of coffee and crescents to start our day on the Verandah....delivered on time. What a way to spend our mornings!!!!
