This was my first Celebrity Experience having previously cruised with 2 different companies and I was not disappointed. I arranged all transfers and flights and pre cruise hotel with Celebrity and had no issues. The embarkation ran smoothly and once aboard the staff were very welcoming and friendly and always happy to help. The cleanliness of the ship was first class and the staff were very persistent with the hand gel which I had no complaints about. Plenty of storage in my balcony cabin and as usual an excellent cabin steward.

The Oceanview Cafe had plenty of choice and loved the outdoor eating area, (not a fan of the guests who wouldn't use the tongues to select their bread). On most evenings I dined in the Silhoutte Dining Room , excellent food. My first speciality restaurant experience, The Tuscan Grille, "Wow", food and service exceptional and so lucky to be seated at the back of the ship to watch the sunset, a perfect evening. Finally a special mention to Cafe al Bacio, a lovely area to relax and enjoy a pot of tea (or coffee) and a slice of cake .

I wasn't disappointed with the ports , some of which I had visited before. I arranged one shore excursion to Florence with the ship and everything ran smoothly and excellent way to visit this city for the first time. Whilst I know this is a review about Celebrity can I take this opportunity to mention Villefranche. In the past I had visited Nice and Monaco but after some research had discovered Ephrussi de Rothschild Villa and Gardens , a 45 minute walk around the bay of Villefranche or a short journey by car. What an amazing place and would highly recommend , Stunning gardens and fountains and the views across the bay are breathtaking, the Villa has exquisite furniture and its a perfect place to spend a day away from the usual tourist spots.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

A welcome return to Rome a fantastic location

Villefranche

A really pleasant and pretty harbour, ideal way to stretch your legs

Corsica (Ajaccio)

My first time in Corsica..a very short walk into a bustling town, a mixture of beach, shops and history, especially fo using on Napoleon.

Ibiza

A lovely overnight stop and a chance to see Ibiza from two perspectives. Would highly recommend the old town of Ibiza.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

A very hot day but what a beautiful place, my only previous experience being the airport, you can spend hours looking at the cathedral and surrounding areas, very nice.
