Sail Date: Jul 2016

The Cruise ship is average. Travelled Family of 4, 2 balcony cabins. Ship was standard medium size cruise ship. We arrived at around 2.30pm and obtained the bags around 6pm.

The cabin was a small balcony cabin could have done with a bit of a revamp as a bit dated. Small details like remote control on the TV did not work, we only used the TV to check the days activites and the bill for the room, when we reported the broken control we were advised that the buttons need to be pressed extra hard or it would not work and no replacement was available so a little inconvenient.

We paid for internet wifi contection as we had teenages who obviously cannot last 1 week without speaking to their friends, we found the contection was generally good and it was worth prebooking this.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Industrial port, we got a train to Civitavecchia and then picked up the port transfer bus to the ship

Santorini

Access to this island is via tender, beautiful town, easy access to a cable car that takes you to the town 5 euros one way, for the more adventurous people there is a Donkey ride to the top approx 5 euros one way. The fit people can use the steps and there are a lot of them.

Athens (Piraeus)

We did Athens independently you do not need to do the excursion on the ship as there are plenty of cheaper options available off the ship
