This was our tenth cruise with Celebrity over the past six years, including one previously on the Constellation. Unfortunately this time a definite drop in standards was very clear. Previously with Celebrity we have been very pleased hence we were repeat customers.

Embarkation was quick and efficient but things went downhill afterwards. In the stateroom the dressing table granite worktop was dirty with rings where glasses had been standing. We complained and the steward wiped the surface with a damp cloth but this did not work as a proper cleaning agent was needed. There was no floor mat in the toilet on Day 1 and only small towels were provided. Later, towels that had been left on the floor to be cleaned were rarely replaced. Although only small points, there were no cotton balls or buds in the toilet. The bed was also not turned down on the first night.

Towards the end of the cruise we noticed a hole in one of the bath robes. The ice bucket provided for the welcome bottle of bubbly was left empty on the table for the whole cruise.
