We chose this cruise because the itinerary was good, and we had heard good reports about Thomson. We usually go on the big Royal Caribbean ships, and love the whole experience of those - activities, top notch service etc. We had also been on this ship before, years ago when she was Splendour of the Seas.
Our journey went without a hitch. Everything was on time and went smoothly. Good Thomson organisation. We quickly were shown onto the coach at Palma airport, and we were on the ship in no time. Earlier than we had expected to be, which was nice!
We didn't take any formal clothes with us, because we had read that this was an informal cruise, so that was quite nice for a change. We've got all the formal photos from various cruises now, so it wasn't important to dress up. We were smart casual. We ususally take suits and dresses, lots of shoes and handbags and accessories, so it was nice to have less luggage than usual. I don't get what TUI are trying to do with the 'Dress to Impress' theme. Not sure who we are supposed to be trying to impress?.
Cabin Review
Well appointed, quiet, not much foot traffic, a little bit of a walk from the lifts and stairs if you have mobility issues, but the ship is quite small so it wasn't a problem for us.
Plenty of hanging space and shelving, some drawer space. Shower pressure was excellent, good sized balcony. Small fridge. Cabin servicing was OK, but not as good as on our cruises, where things happen as if by magic. We had to ask for things that we expected to be there. I think the staff were new and inexperienced. Only one towel animal.
