I choose this cruise because I had such a wonderful time in 2013 on another Norwegian Mediterranean cruise and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that this one was as good, if not better, than the previous one. I will say that my only recommendation would be to spend more time in cities such as Berlin and Stockholm. Helsinki was not my favorite place and as far as I'm concerned could be totally eliminated from the itinerary and replaced with maybe Norway or an overnight in Berlin. Copenhagen was beautiful and we should have spent more than one night there. I would recommend two. There's that much to see and do. We stayed at the Scandic Copenhagen close to Tivoli Gardens and loved it. Check in and check out went smoothly and without and problems. Of course this wasn't our first time and we had all the necessary documents and tags. As for the ship it was awesome. I mean I don't understand people that complain about outlets and stuff like that. You're on vacation! The rooms were adequate, clean, beautiful balcony. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for clothes, shoes, toiletries etc. It had everything that a person could need. The food was great. We hit 3 specialty restaurants; Moderno, La Cucina and Cagney's, and they were spectacular. Plus everyday there was something different to eat at the buffet. We had wonderful experiences at Aqua, not so much at Versailles. Wait time was excessive (we were a party of 7) and one day we waited 45 minutes for our breakfast after being the 1st people in the dining room. We did spend a lot of time on deck 12, Avelino was our favorite waiter, and in the casino. Other activities included trivia, bingo, deal or no deal, the shows, etc. I had a good time at all of them. We used SPB tours for Berlin and St. Petersburg. They were punctual, the buses were comfortable and the drivers were knowledgeable. Our tour guides were the best. We had Lee in Berlin and Boris in St. Petersburg. They were attentive, informative and went out of their way to make the experience exceptional. I have to say though that Tallinn and Sweden were my favorite places and that I am definitely planning to visit the Baltics again.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

We did a canal tour offered by a company called GO BOATS! Awesome experience and lovely day.

Tallinn

Beautiful old city. Lots of churches and musuems. We ate a delicious lunch at a place called The Country Pig???

Helsinki

Not much to see in Helsinki. I think it should be replaced as a destination for some other port with more options.

Stockholm

OMG!!! Stockholm was my favorite place. Coming into port, the view for hours is amazing. The Vasa Museum area is breathtakingly beautiful with it's lovely gardens and small cafes. The Ice Bar is one of a kind and a must do. The Gamla Stan is quaint, historic and the shopping is awesome.
