Full disclaimer here: This was my first cruise other than a short 3 day cruise in a river boat in China through Three Gorges.
To date I have been to about 45 countries over three decades and consider myself a very experienced world traveler. That said, I have avoided cruises because I suspected they would not be to my liking. Confirmed.
This time however I took four relatives besides my wife...sister in law and her two teens and my mother in law as a cruise was "suggested" by the family.
