Just back from a delightful cruise to Northern Europe and St. Petersburg. The ship was excellent in every way--beautiful suite with balcony, very good service, and outstanding food. Casually elegant, low-key luxe. Not a whole lot of entertainment and activities, and a quite small pool, but I went sightseeing every day except the one at-sea day. Wished the cruise were longer--I loved it.
Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly.
We spent 2 days in Stockholm and 2 days in Copenhagen on our own before and after the cruise, respectively. The ports covered were good, with St. Petersburg being the centerpiece--3 days spent there (could have used 4). Cruise takes care of visa if you take tours. Also stopped at Tallinn, Estonia, and Helsinki. Some people continued the cruise to Norway instead of disembarking at Copenhagen. The tours were good, but the ballet--2nd -rate company and full of ill-dressed tourists--could have been skipped.
Lovely cabin with great layout and veranda.
