We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. I've read some negative reviews about this cruise and all I can say is that if you want to have a bad time, then no one can stop you. A cruise is really what you make of it. The more involved you get (participating in excursions, games, clubs) the more fun that you'll have.
1. The ship was well kept, the staff was super hard working and very friendly.
2. It took about 3 days before I could convince the girls to go to the 'tween club, but once they did they found more friends to hang out with and we saw them in a group at various spots on the ship. They made new friends that they still want to talk with after the cruise.
Our room was wonderful. It was the most quiet room that we've ever had. The Spa Deck is the way to go! It is open above, which gave us a lot of nice sunshine. We did hear folks talking occasionally, but didn't see anyone and they couldn't see much of us either. I checked from the floor above our cabin and could only see about 2 inches of the balcony in front of our room's railing.
Last time we had an obstructed view cabin which obstructed our view much more than I'd been lead to believe and also had a weird smell in the afternoons like hot old paint or something.
This cabin was the best one yet. I'd be thrilled to book it again.
It was a rainy day - and sweltering hot just before the rain came pouring down. I wish that we'd taken a tour of the Bacardi Factory, but we walked around and found that great local Popsicle shop.
Though the beach is very nice, there is NO SHADE. This is a big problem if you don't tolerate heat well. They should add some shade trees, umbrellas, or canopies in the beach lounge area. This was my least favorite stop.
We flew into Fort Lauderdale (cheaper) and took a taxi service down to the port.
