This was or first ever cruise, so we took friends' advice and went for the higher end of the market. We were not disappointed!! (Gross understatement!!). It was fabulous from start to finish.
I can't understand what possible cause for complaint anyone could have with this cruise or ship.
From the moment we boarded to the time we disembarked we were treated to what can only be described as service more akin to a floating 5-star hotel. We were on deck 8 and had the most attentive and willing deck attendants- nothing was too much trouble for them, The cleanliness of the state-room is the standard by which future cruises (yes - there will be more with Celeb Cruises!!) will be judged. We had clean towels twice a day and the shower curtain was changed each day. There was champagne waiting for us and canapes delivered each afternoon. Every member of staff had a smile and a genuine greeting for everyone they passed by - it was amazing how they made everyone feel welcome.
Our stateroom was perfect. It was clean when we arrived and our attendants kept it spotless throughout our stay. Clean sheets and towels in a spotless bathroom each day with beds turned down each evening and chocolates on the pillows - a touch of class!! There was no noise from the rooms on either side of us and there was no engine vibration or noise at all. It was so smooth that we couldn't tell when we docked early in the mornings and it was totally stable - no rolling or pitching at all.. If we hadn't see the sea going past, we wouldn't have known we were moving.
A beautiful city, We stayed for 3 nights prior to boarding so did our own things around the city.
Our excursion took us to Aix en Provence. It was a lovely place to go but tie was against us. We could have done with another hour
