I know that everyone has their own needs and expectations when cruising. For us, for what we needed and expected, this was absolutely a 5-star vacation.

Let me start by saying that yes, Miracle is showing her age in places, but I'm not one to talk in that regard! Nothing upsetting, just wear and tear.

We had two cabins, 7289 (an 8K extended balcony) and 7287 (a 4E interior). The pricing was very similar to having all 4 of us in a balcony, and with 2 teen boys the extra space and extra bathroom were hugely beneficial. The view from the balcony was good - looking down, you see a lifeboat, and you don't have a sightline all the way to the ends of the ship, as balconies bump out partway along. So rather than a 180 degree sightline, it's maybe 170 degrees. No biggie. We spent many hours out there just chilling out, watching for dolphins or just watching nothing. The interior cabin was sufficient for the two boys. This was the first time we've had them in a separate cabin, and I tell you, it made such an improvement! The boys (age 14 & 17) could do their own thing, come and go as they pleased. So worth it! Our cabin steward was Roderick, he was friendly and took good care of us.

Extended Balcony

Cabin 8K

Typical Carnival cabin. Well maintained by Roderick. It did have some of the Azipod Shimmy, but no rattling of the cabinets or our belongings, just the feeling of shimmying when on the bed or sofa. I found it similar to sleeping on a train, though my light-sleeper husband didn't like it.
