We planned a family cruise for 15 people for over 1 year. We were not disappointed! Maitre 'd, Jurga, was wonderful to us and got us a wonderful table. Forget about the male maitre'd. He was awful. Can't even bother with his name! We ate in the Southern Lights restaurant. A few times, we had tablecloths, but most nights, there were bare tables. The quality of the food was much better now that the menus are pared down. Rodel (table 739) was our head waiter and he did a great job especially taking care of our smaller grandchildren. They were very happy with the special treatment and the good desserts he brought them. Our steward, Kadek was great. Our children and grand children were thrilled with their experience. Nice ports, good food, all was wonderful! Maybe they should let Platinum grandparents bring their families on with them when they board. That would make it special!

Steward, Kadek, was excellent.

We enjoyed family time. Ports were good.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

The worst luggage experience ever. Porters were surly and rude. Never again from that port. The traffic getting to the port was awful. We were in a shuttle and it took forever. Leave extra time if you drive. We are Platinum and have not experienced such disarray!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We took the Dolphin Encounter at Ocean World. The experience was great for the grandkids. The entire park was entertaining. I was concerned with the conditions of the sea lions.

St. Thomas

Took a cab to Coki Beach. Wonderful!

San Juan

Just walked a few blocks. The free sightseeing shuttle in San Juan was a bust. Waiting for 1/2 hour at 2 different sites, but no one got off! Not enough shuttles, and it is really hot for little ones to walk around. Lots of homeless folks.

Grand Turk

Walk down the pier, off the ship, and you reach the beautiful beach. We took family photos of 15 of us. Luckily my son in law brought camera and tripod. Carnival RUDE and completely snotty Pixel manager told us it would cost $500. For a photo shoot! He said he would take pics for free but we would need to purchase that amount to get ANY! So we didn't use them! HA! We had been on the Breeze in February, and they were so much nicer and more accommodating!
