We chose a cruise for a family trip with 27 people ranging in age from 1 to 84. The good points on the boat were the cleanliness and the staff - they provided great service. We had a promotion of a free ultimate beverage package which saved us tons of money on alcohol.
Having sailed on larger ships, we found this one offered too few activities. There wasn't a lot to do on the ship except the pool, which was over-crowded, gambling, a few shows, and a few bars. Except for the library, there also wasn't a place to go to get away from the loud music and for the family to gather where we could hear each other talk. We did eventually find decks off to the side on deck 13 and deck 7, but wished there'd be times when the music wasn't blaring.
The food was decent, but I thought that the two restaurants, the Aqua and Venetian, should offer different food. The menus were identical. It was also pretty obnoxious that in these two restaurants, which come with the cruise package, the menus included different items for an "up charge." It almost seemed from the food choices, that Norwegian wanted to motivate you to eat in one of the restaurants that charged for food.
