Sail Date: Jul 2016

We chose this cruise as it was our first river boat experience and were apprehensive about the smaller confined boat, so only did a 7 night one and then continued to see other countries by ourselves.

The crew were lovely, our cabin 322 was fine, small but enough room, maybe little close to the back deck Queens Garden, some people got up early and talked loudly ( it is where they put out some pastries for early risers, also coffee and tea there.) You could participate in excursions or stay on boat!! The dining experience a bit of a kafuffle, as you just grab a seat, no seating plan. We did meet a nice couple who on the last four days we ate with!

Food was ok, I felt that could have been improved having less courses but better quality, just some simple grills, mostly very German type food, soups bland and thin, sweets average, most meat dishes seemed to be stewed meat of some description. Salads ok best thing was cheese and fruit.

Cabin Review

Cabin A

Very clean cabin and quite nice, shower cubicle too small but bathroom itself quite large on the whole. Beds comfy and long in length although narrow. Everything you need, aircon works great! Take your own pillow European pillows awful square things. You can book another category cabin that is marginally bigger, think it is H. Ours was top deck and perfectly fine, no real noise from sundeck above.
