We like Celebrity, and as we needed a cruise in Europe in July we choose this 12 Silhouette cruise out of Amsterdam. The ship is relatively new so not much to say about maintennance and repair.
Prersonally I prefer warmer weather and more sea days, but that was not available here.
A few issues underneath, but otherwise we loved the cruise the crew and the visits to the Brithis Isles and Ireland.
Balcony cabin on deck 6. View a little obstructed by the top of the lifeboats, not too dieturbing. A large cabin with plenty for storage even for the three of us. Only issue was the heat that was not working the first day, and it was a cold one. Was fixed as soon as we asked though.
Amsteram is a great city with much to offer, we took a canal tour by ourselves a great way to see part of the city. The Dutch people are friendly and helpful, so it is an easy city to travel to and through.
We stopped in Ayr - tendering - Ayr was a quaint little town, tendering not that efficient.
Greenock docked we travelled to Glasgow by taxi was a nice trip.
We went to Trinity College to the the library and the book of kelts, very interesting.
Shore excursion by Celebrity, driving around Cork and serving up a rather lousy Irish Coffee, this could have been better.
Tender once again.. The town a wonderfull and beautyful little town. Great for a walk around by oneself.
Le Havre nothing much you need to go on a long trip somewhere else for this to be interesting stayed on the ship mostly.
