We had cruised with Thomson before on the Island Escape and had a wonderful time so decided to go all out with the Celebration and upgraded to Deck 9 Cabin 005 what a waste of money - shabby and not worth the money at all so complaining to Thomson. The ships very confusing to get around and we weren't the only ones to comment about it. The staff were very impersonal just not interested in any interaction with you - never had that before!!!! Speaking to others I think we must have been on a bad week as norovirus was on board and so many things not available to us in the restaurants and activities - the virus was contained but after the initial letter and following day captains message nothing was said but there was no self service in the Lido and other things still missing so no idea what was going on.The food was not upto the usual standard either very bland and I have gluten and nut free and every day ordered from the following nights menu and they still put nuts on the cheese and biscuits and 1 night gave me a sugar free pudding even though I was assured it was gluten and nut free luckily I had only taken 1 bite before they realised their mistake - someone else might not be so lucky and could have had serious consequences. Lovely places visited but don't think I'll be risking another Thomson cruise - feeling very disappointed.

Cabin Review

Cabin Premium with balcony

Good size and comfortable beds but that's all - very shabby 2 star hotel standard not what you expect for a Platinum ship - no towel art either and you always look forward to see what's been done.
