We wanted a great first European experience. We had seen Viking ads and the river cruise sounded idea. We chose The Danube Waltz cruise for the targeted historic cities. Our cruise experience was superb. We selected a 3-day pre-cruise option in Prague. Our luggage, including a walker necessary for my wife's mobility, did not arrive in Prague when we did. The Viking staff at the hotel immediately got to work to meet our needs and ensure that the luggage was located. We had it the next morning and the accommodations to meet our needs were very timely and successful.

Prague was a beautiful pre-cruise experience. We loved the opportunity to see highlights of the city on our orientation tour, and the freedom to walk to the Old Town Square and explore on our own.

When we arrived in Passau to board the ship, the cruise director met us when we first got on the ship. He escorted us to our room, explained ship procedures, and made us feel welcome. Staff attention for our special needs was great. Read more
