Unfortunately, our vacation on the "Voyager of the Seas" ship did not go very well. Here is the sequence of events that happened to my wife Teri and me on the ship: Boarded ship on 4/12/2009 - Waited in a standing line for over 6 hours to board the ship. They stated the delay was due to a customs issue. On 4/13/2009 at 4:30 pm we went to happy hour by the pool on the 5th level. At 7:00 pm the bartender said that everyone is cutoff because the people at the bar were to boisterous and loud. We then proceeded to the bar at the pool on the next level up and had one drink. The bartender from the previous bar seemed upset because we changed bars and said "Everyone is cutoff". This included me and my wife and 4 other men at the bar. At 7:15pm we went to our room and got ready to see the Johhny Cash show which was very nice and enjoyable. Then at 10:00 pm we ordered champagne and they brought it to our room. (Why bring us more alcohol if it was an issue?) On Tuesday 4/14/2009 we received a phone call at our room at 9:45 am and were told to report to area 5 reception to speak with the Captain. The Captain said that we were too loud at the bar and he was removing us from the ship without any warning. My wife started crying and begged him to let us stay if we did not drink anymore. He said "my decision is final, get off now in Cozumel." Then they gave us 30 minutes to pack and dumped us off the ship like dogs. We departed the ship and were left on our own at customs at 10:30 am on 4/14/2009. I consider the Captain's behavior (we have his name) totally unacceptable and very unprofessional. We did not bother anyone else or cause any problems to deserve this treatment. We will probably not attempt any more cruise vacations. I had to arrange my own hotel room and flights home and incur the additional unexpected expenses. I will be posting this story with the local news affiliate and also on cruisecritics.com.

Cabin 1

Could have been a great vacation except for being kicked off the ship at the first port.
