Embarkation from port canaveral on the Carnival Magic seemed chaotic at first but we were actually on the ship within 20 minutes and it went rather smoothly but arrive at the port as early as possible. The ship was great! we really enjoyed the new upgrades to the Magic especially Guys burger joint. Out cabin great as well. We had a cove balcony on deck 2 and really enjoyed being close to the water and also had an excellent stateroom steward. The dining room was batter than past carnival cruises. the was a short wait some nights but we enjoyed the new menus and "American table" style of the dining room. Th entertainment staff and cruise director onboard was phenomenal! they all worked very had and were extremely enthusiastic the entire cruise. The ports are what really made it an awesome cruise though, Amber Cove, Dominican Republic has a nice cruise port but i wouldn't recommend leaving the cruise port like we did. St. Thomas was great! the port was very clean and efficient the island felt safe and highly recommend the paradise point sky ride. San Juan was ok but not much to do and we had a good time relaxing in Grand Turk.

Cabin Review

Cove Balcony

Cabin 7C

Good size room and spacious balcony especially compared to the rooms on Norwegian. loved being close to the water and the balcony felt much more private being close to the water.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

the port was extremely crowded when we arrived at the ship at about 10:30 am and it looked chaotic. However we were on the ship within 20 minutes and lines moves quickly.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We took a Zip- Line excursion in the morning and had a great time but wouldn't recommend leaving the cruise port if you don't have en excursion booked. If you don't book an excursion the cruise port is a private area with a pool and shops which is a nice place to hangout.

Grand Turk

Had a lot of fun at the grand turk cruise center relaxing on the beach and at Margaritaville.
