Embarkation: We had driven to NO the Friday before the cruise. We drove to the port arriving around 10:30 Sunday morning. Prepaid parking was $98 for the seven night cruise. Once inside the garage it was easy to find the line to unload your luggage. By 11:15 we were checked in and waiting for boarding which began around noon. We were on the ship by 12:15.

Public Rooms: The Galaxy of the Stars situated at the front of the ship was a favorite. We found this place within hours of boarding and enjoyed the view as the ship sailed out of the Mississippi. This is where there is a little staircase leading to the bridge where you can see the crew. The library was a nice relaxing spot. There was a wide variety of books.

Dining Rooms: We ate at both Gardens and Windows the first day and decided we like Windows better. The service received by the staff was great from the person assigned the tables to the person filling the water glasses. Everyone was always friendly and quick to serve. The food was pretty good but not overly spectacular.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IA

The trundle bed pulled out for a fourth person created some logistical difficulties. There was plenty of storage space. The bathroom was nice sized with a large shower. If you listen carefully during peak meal times, you can hear silverware rattling from the buffet above on deck 12. There was no noise to disturb our sleeping.
