Took girlfriend on first long cruise. She had never been to Alaska and this cruise was great. Visited Juneau on the warmest day of the year. Locals were actually swimming in the glacier waters. Took tram up mountain and had dinner and were entertained by an Alaskan Von Trapp family. Participated on several city tours. Visited Victoria BC and took town tour on open air bus. Ship's food and entertainment was first class. We actually selected an inside cabin to get a good night's sleep due to the midnight sun. This also allowed us to get some afternoon naps. Noticed that only a few passengers wore formal attire on formal nights. Many were just in blue jeans. Have heard that some cruise lines are discontinuing formal nights. What a shame! I actually bought a tux, many years ago and can still wear the darn thing. Enjoy seeing the women dressed up.
