I chose this cruise because of the time I wanted to go and the ports I wanted to visit. I had never sailed on NCL before but had been on several Celebrity, Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruises. I used an off site parking service which was great. Embarkation went smoothly and we were on the ship in no time. I liked having a dinning room to eat lunch when we arrived instead of the usual buffet offerings of most cruise lines, I detest buffets. We were able to get into our room as soon as we ate lunch. Overall the whole ship is not what I would call attractive. The casino is in the middle next to an open area that is three decks; the smell of cigarettes is so strong when you are any of the three decks.

I purchased the spa online for $179. expecting a relaxing place to go but the way it is set up with the hot tubs and other water features are next to the ceramic heated beds and relaxation beds, so people want to talk in the hot tub; and to talk over the sound of the water and the tile walls makes it very loud and not relaxing at all.

The ropes course and water slides are fine for the 10 and under but my teenage grandson was bored.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

The cabin configuration is strange, we had a balcony on deck 10. There are no drawers and the closet is 6 inches from the bed and runs the length of the bed. The balcony is tiny.
