This cruise was an add-on to a tour of Italy and Greece. Like other readers, I had read some bad reviews of the Olympia and the cruise itself. However, I did not find this to be the case. The staff were always courteous and polite while we were on board. The meals in the main dining room were fresh and the presentation of the food was excellent. This was a three-day cruise of several Greek islands (we didn't go to Turkey with the rest of the passengers because we had students with us and our tour company sent us to another Greek island instead). We were in one of the cabins with two single beds and a shower. Everything in our cabin was neat and clean. The beds were made daily and we had all the amenities provided. I especially enjoyed interacting with the staff members and learning something about their personal lives. At dinner, we were seated with people from other countries who spoke only a little English or none at all. I found this interesting as we communicated as best we could on topics such as US politics and the places we had traveled before boarding the ship. I understand this ship isn't the most modern but it suited our needs well. We weren't on the ship that much during the day because we were exploring the islands. I went on several excursions and enjoyed all of them, especially Patmos. Our guides were very courteous and knowledgeable.

Cabin Review

The cabin was small but that didn't bother us. We didn't have a window but great views were available only steps from our cabin. One night we did encounter a storm and our cabin began creaking as it rocked from side to side. I found this amusing.
