This was my first cruise on a large ship. (My first cruise was on a brand new Junk in Ha Long Bay, so it is a different experience.) We arrived in Copenhagen a day early and explored the city one afternoon and the next morning, which was enough time to do several things. Embarkation was easy and we only had a short wait before we were allowed into our stateroom. We had a concierge level room that was spacious and with a nice veranda. (Unfortunately, we were not to use the veranda when in port.) The bathroom was great, with both tub and separate shower. The toiletries supplied were really nice with a choice of scent. Our room had a laptop supplied which was easier to use than our own items. But who cares about the room when there is so much more on the ship!
The food on the Marina was so good. We ate at each of the specialty restaurants and otherwise primarily stuck with the Grand Dining Room. A wonderful variety of foods and considerate waitstaff. We tried to get to High Tea in the afternoons if we were back onboard in time, but you could always find something to eat! Hmmmmm. Wonder why my clothes don't fit now.
Oceania offered some interesting excursions, but you could do things on your own as well. The best excursion was 'An Evening with the Czars' at Catherine Palace in Russia. A+++
Very clean and comfortable. Would have loved more drawer space, but we made it work.
