The spirit onboard the Spirit is outstanding. The crew was so friendly and hardworking. I have been on over 25 cruises and you often get tired and cranky crew. Not on the Spirit. I think the Hotel Director, Frank, must do an outstanding job of keeping his varied staff happy.

My 8 yr. old daughter and I traveled in a deluxe penthouse suite and now we are spoiled. I can never go back to a regular cabin on NCL. I am not sure what other cruise lines do for their suites, but NCL spoils big time. I have been on mini suites on Carnival and Princess, but all you got was a tub, extra tv and a little more square footage. Not so on NCL. From the butler and concierge to the express disembarkation, we used it all. We got to check in in a VIP room with snacks, got escorted on in front of the line and our suite was ready by noon. We could have welcome aboard lunch in Cagney's and breakfast and lunch each day in there as well. No extra charge. The concierge even made front row seat reservations for the shows if you wished. Each day the butler delivered a plate of hors d'oeurves with my favorite being the chocolate covered strawberries and the cheese plate. There was a half bottle of Moet and a large bottle of Evian provided in the suite. The suite had a gourmet coffee maker complete with frother and warm cups. There was a fridge, although mine never seemed to cool. There was DVD player with a catalog of movies available for borrowing. The butler would deliver those.

Our butler, Jose, even delivered ice cream in the middle of the day for my daughter and a plate of cookies. Any room service request was delivered by him and laid out on white table cloths on our dining room table. Our suite was like a mini apartment, maybe a nice New York apartment complete with dining/living rooms and large bath with toilet, bidet, shower and jacuzzi tub.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SE

Like a nice New York apartment. Must enjoy the fore section and its motion. Balcony not overlooking water, but entire front of ship. Very private and quiet.
