As a seasoned cruiser, I was bitterly disappointing with P&O's new flagship. From the minute I arrived at Ocean Terminal I was shocked by the lack of any organisation. We had paid for valet parking (a seamless operation carried out by other operators, Cunard etc) but I was placed in a queue that took 85 mins to take my car. When we finally got on board we were very impressed by the balcony cabin in both size and quality. We ate on the first night at the Horizon self service buffet, it was busy and we struggled to find a table although large sections of the restaurant were taped closed. The food was average to say the least. The second day we visited Guernsey, unable to dock in St Peter's Port we had to use tenders. We arrived at the disembarkation gate and was given a raffle ticket and sent to the theatre. We were informed that it was taking 25 mins to disembark. An hour later the threatre was completely full (approx 2500 people) and nobody had got off. Finally took 70 mins to get on a tender and then queued 40 mins to return. The nightmare had only just began...On the third night a rumour spread through the ship that 129 passengers had been taken seriously ill. We personally saw two people vomit that night and areas of the ship were been taped up and cleaned. The next day the captain made an announcement that a major outbreak of Norovirus was spreading throughout the ship and special cleaning had to be carried out. By the end of the week 500 passengers had been confined to their cabins. The ship was "dirty", toilets blocked, decks 17, 18 and 19 covered every morning in a black soot and lack of paper hand towels in the busier public toilets - This is a serious public health disaster that to is waiting to happen
Very good - Spacious and large toilet and shower
Cabin cleaner was superb kept it spotless
Southampton is a good day out
Just a big city with a few nice museums
Worth half a day walking about the town
Loved St Peter Port
