We chose Celebrity because it was one of the only 7-day, round-trip options from Vancouver. Overall we were very happy with the cruise. We had a room with a small veranda and while it was cramped for two adults and two children, it was not unpleasant. The cabin was very clean, the room attendants did an amazing job keeping the cabin clean and pulling out and putting away our kids' beds every morning and evening, the evening shows were fun, the service in the main dining room was outstanding, and the ice cream bar was a huge hit with the kids (ages 12 and 15). On the negative side, many of the daily activities were geared toward selling you something: future cruises, spa services, salon services, shore excursions. If you enjoy shopping and gambling, great, if not, prepare to entertain yourself. The bathroom in our cabin while very clean was showing its age with some cracked shower tiles, poor shower drainage, and a worn sink. The port of Icy Straight was created specifically for cruise ships: while scenic, it's designed to encourage you to shop and do shore excursions. I wish we could have skipped this stop and had more time to spend at Hubbard Glacier. Negatives aside, we had a good time overall, we felt well taken care of, and I know this will be a trip we all remember forever.
Very clean, lots of storage, excellent lighting, but showing its age in the bathroom ( a few cracked shower tiles, worn sink, poor shower drainage).
This port was designed specifically for cruise ships. While scenic, it is geared solely to encourage you to shop and go on shore excursions.
