We went on the Norwegian Fjord cruise Bergan/Flamm/Gerainger and Stavenger. Overall the cruise was very good.

The service/facilities/food were all excellent. I spoke to the Restaurant manager who explained in great detail without prompting about their hygeine standards as the previous night we had gone for midnight snacks after dancing at around 0045 and noticed crew thoroughly cleansing the restaraunt area.

I cannot rate highly enough the facilities on this ship.

Very compact but space used well. Chocolates every day and not quite sure why the cabin was cleaned twice daily.

Unbearable noise in cabin

Port Reviews

Geiranger

Enjoyed Gerainger the most, Beautiful views over the fjord. We went on a lovely walk past a waterfall and upto the farm. It was wet underfoot and muddy in places although can be accessed by road as an alternative.

Amazing views from the ship leaving Gerainger. We didnt do the kayaking as it was fully booked but can see that it would have been amazing. Friends of ours said the kayaks had rudders which is unusual.

Flam

Flam is beautiful and well worth visiting. Our friends went on a Rib ride that they really enjoyed. We just took in the beautiful sceneary. We were looking around a museum and much to our surprise an opera singer burst into song.... amazing.

Not a lot to do in Flam but very pretty. The train journey was much cheaper than booking through P and O but there were no return tickets left so although could have gone one way wouldnt have been able to get back with a bus or taxi, Left the port at 1630 so not there long,

Stavanger

Stavanger was pretty in places with a lovely quaint older wooden built section next to the ship. Well worth a look.

We were tired in Stavanger and felt it wasnt probably worth visiting but friends enjoyed it so perhaps it was better than we thought.
