Sail Date: Jul 2016

My husband and I, plus two friends, chose Emerald Waterways to celebrate our 70th birthdays this year - Rhine Cruise. I did all the research, booking, etc, for our little group and the reasons I chose Emerald are as follows:

- virtually brand new boat with some innovative features, i.e. swimming pool which doubles up as a cinema in the evening (that was really fun.)

- Free drinks with lunch and dinner (alcohol and non-alcohol). ( At times we had to stop the waiters constantly filling our glasses!)

Cabin Review

Cabin Lower Stateroom

In addition to what I've said above, I would add the following:

- we were surprised by the size of the cabin - like a normal hotel room! We had had quite small cabins on previous cruises. Tthis one was about the same size as our bedroom at home!

- modern, impeccably clean and well appointed. Or 'cabin boy' (Irvan) was very pleasant and efficient. By the time we returned from breakfast, our room had been done

- good shower, if somewhat small. We wondered how a large person would manage.

- comfortable bed(s)
