This was our 11th cruise, our second one with Princess and definitely our last one with them. The first cruise had cancelled ports due to mechanical problems, but overall the cruise was good, hence the reason for choosing the Sun Princess. Before we sailed we received an email stating we would not visit Yorkeys Knob and a $100 credit. The ship had mechanical problems. We were unhappy when boarding as we asked a few passengers disembarking from the previous cruise what their cruise was like. All but one said it was dreadful, they would never sail Princess again! We decided to remain positive and make the most of it.

The positives were: great new bedding, great cabin steward, waiters friendly and helpful. We were travelling with a coeliac friend and she was fussed over and well fed. David in the dining room made sure she was happy with her meals. Food started out great, but after so many sea days - it went down hill a lot. We chose to eat all 3 meals in the dining room. Coffee was not good. We bought 3 and all were tepid and weak. Entertainment was very good.

That's where it ends.... The ship is old, leaked badly, daily exercise was dodge the buckets! It was the most boring cruise we have had. The only thing we did was trivia. Anything else of interest was packed and could not see what was happening eg food and drink demonstrations. Toilets and lifts constantly not working. Really bad stench at front of ship when walking for exercise. The ship course etc was rarely on TV, probably because we were going so slow!
