Let me start start with the best part of this cruise. It was Dorine. She was the HAL person to help those that wanted more than excursions on this port intensive cruise. She was a wonderful source of information on the ports. Her talks were well attended, some took advantage of her frequent desk hours, and she was just shore side at every port for the first hour or so. We did take two wonderful HAL excursions in St. Petersburg. The evening Hermitage tour and the "subway tour". Both, as was this surprising city, beyond expectation.
The second surprise was the quality of th two young men from the Ukranian that plaid piano, and violin for us in the Alegro lounge. We frequents enjoyed their 6pm set before going to dinner.
These three individuals are reason to book this tour by themselves.
Very well kept by our cabin stewart and his assistant.
Canal tour and stolling around the city
Walked into town to the square. Saw the old 1422 pharmacy, Sunday market, little shops, and quaint street.
Fun, nice, clean, beautiful city with a blue line guiding you through it's esplanades
HAL Shuttle to stroll the esplanade, market, square, and shops.
Did hop on hop off bus, walked around town
Free HAL shuttle to Warnemunde with it's beach, old port, active fishing port, just our style
