My brother had taken two Viking River Cruises and highly recommended Viking. His s advice was outstanding, as was the service provided by Viking. From the ship's staff to the bus drivers, all were focused on ensuring exceptional service to their guests. The food on-board was exceptional, as was the choices available. The cabin stewards were also exceptional - - ours greeted us by name each and every time we'd meet. She was absolutely delightful and very attentive to details.

The many excursions were professionally managed and highly efficient. The buses were modern and very comfortable and the tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We had a medical emergency during one excursion when a senior citizen collapsed in a remote area during a return to our tour buses. While other people went for help, I stayed with the passenger and kept him calm and composed. The time it took to get a medical team to our location our bus departure time in jeopardy; however, the tour guide ensured all were on board before departing. The care shown by the tour guide and staff was truly remarkable. In the end, the passenger was fine and he moved on with the rest of the group.
