Where do I start? I guess a quick overview. Just in case I ramble on, and on. Hotel before the cruise was very nice, would recommend it to anyone staying in N.O. Embarkation was easy, once you got to the desk. The ship was beautiful, very classy and refined. Our bal. room was MORE than adequate for us two, but could see how the pull out couch would hinder the use of the bal. when open. The staff were VERY friendly, you couldn't pass one of them without a smile and a hello. The food ( I know I know it's all subjective) was absolutely WONDERFUL. Activities were numerous. Disembarkation was a mess, but it was my fault, not the ships or the dock workers, they were all nice.

Now the details:

Hotel, We Stayed at the Drury inn about a 10 minute walk from the pier and bourbon street. And about 5 minutes walk from "mothers" rest. And right on a trolley line. We loved riding the trolley, we even took a round trip on it , just to enjoy the sites. As for bourbon st. We didn't much care for it for numerous reasons. Over all the city was OK, we would cruise again from it, but not come to visit the city itself. The afternoon cocktails were good, house brands only and 3 drinks per person. But the COMPANY was OUTSTANDING. We meet Mike and Susan (lawton54), Kelly and Mitch, aka Mr. Blackberry, (K&Mluvtotravel). And an other couple not on CC Tom and Ruthann. The room was quite nice, very high ceilings all marble bathroom, very comfortable bed. A way above average room for the $99.00 A night we spent. And we got to park free while on the cruise!!! A big bonus. On a scale of 1-10, I give the hotel a 10 and the city about a 7 and the company a 1 million!
