That was the first cruise of Anthem from NY port to Southern Carribean Islands.
The ship itself is very modern, high tech, beautifully decorated. There were nice shows, especially Cabaret and very talented gimnastic couple( I forgot names). I was very impressed by beautiful adults only spacious solarium! The only thing I was disappointed a little bit is politeness of the stuff. As I remember, the Royal Carribean cruise line has always been on of the best in all aspects, especially the professionalism of the stuff. That is why I was unpleasantly surprised by the treatment of some emloyees. I hope that happened because the ship was new, and the lack of experience took place at that time. The food was pretty good, especially in The Grande and American Icon Grill. And the most memorable dining experience I had in Wonderland restaurant. The food there was really amazing and unusual.
Overall Cruise was very pleasant and memorable.
The cabin was pretty spacious and clean, a lot of storage space, comfortable bed, large plasma TV on the wall. The balcony also was big enough with comfortable furniture
Since I love beach and swimming, I went to the beautiful beach and enjoyed it every minute
The Island has a diferrent beautiful landscape, sea, mountains and winding roads. The beach is OK, but I wasn't lucky with the weather. Very nice shopping in a sea port area.
Since I was many times in St.Maarten and took couple excurtions around the Island before this cruise, I stopped on my favourite Phillipsburg beach to enjoy swimming and good weather. After the beach I visited few jewellery stores on the shopping street, which is close to the beach. Bought some nice piece of jewelry, since on this island you can always find some extrodinary jewelry pieces for decent prices and no taxable.
I was on this Island maybe 5th time, enjoyed walking this cozy narrow streets, come to cute souvenir shoes, go to the park, and explore old Citadel and beautiful view from there
