We chose this cruise because of the length,15 days and the number of places we would get to visit, 4 countries. I would love to do it again. There was so much to enjoy that I'm sure we missed something!
Good thing the majority of shore excursions required walking because the food was plentiful and delicious. The included and optional shore excursions were the history, art & architecture types that we love. All of our guides were very fluent in English and knew their topics well.
We found the nightly newsletters of the next days events with suggestions for alternate activities invaluable. The booklet of the trips itinerary etc. sent ahead of the cruise was also invaluable.
Having a veranda was nice, we used it several times. The extra space in the room was a very good thing.
The details given by our guide on the castle fortifications were fascinating!
The town market is a delight. Try the gingerbread, which usually has no ginger.
Walking into this town was like walking back in time. To bad most of the beautiful bridge was hidden by current restoration work. The sausage kitchen is worth a visit even if you don't sample a sausage.
Be prepared to take a lot of pictures in the Bishop's Residenz. No one can adequately describe in words how ornate & lavish this palace is.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber was the highlight of our trip. We could have spent another day there with so much to see and do in this medieval town.
This is where we disembarked early in the day. We can say the airport is very nice.
