We chose this cruise, first of all, because we love Viking Cruises. When we learned of their new Ocean Itineraries, we decided to try a Mediterranean cruise, never having been to that part of Europe before.

The Viking Star is a magnificent ship! There were so many excursion opportunities in each port that it was difficult to make a decision about which ones to do. The guides were excellent; the food was beyond delicious, well presented, perfectly served in all the various restaurants.

Our stateroom was beyond what we expected: roomy, lovely, with all possible amenities. Our room steward was a delightful young woman who did all she could to make our stay enjoyable. Read more
