We had been wanting to do a Europe river cruise for a long time and the timing and price for this one fit our plans beautifully. The Kvasir is a wonderful ship, made more so by the great staff. Everyone, from the waitstaff in the dining room to the bartender in the lounge, treated us great. The cruise director, Chris, was so entertaining - we looked forward each day to his overview of that day's activities. The shore excursions were well planned and gave everyone a variety of activities to choose from. The guides on the excursions were knowledgeable and extremely friendly.

We can't say enough about the food on the ship - each meal offered a variety of choices, all of which were wonderful. If we didn't feel like a big lunch, there was always the more casual fare in the lounge. The chef came out each evening during Chris's overview and talked about that evening's dinner choices. There was also the opportunity to visit the kitchen and see how the staff worked to prepare our meals - very impressive work for such a small, compact area.

All in all, this was one of the best vacations we've had and we are already planning our next river cruise, with Viking!

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

The cabin was small, but comfortable. Having the veranda, with the full-length glass doors, made it seem larger. There was plenty of room for the two of us to move around, good storage space (closet and drawers). The bathroom was small, but they made the most of the limited space, and we had no problems with it.
