We sailed on the Island Princess 6/22-29 out of Vancouver and we were very happy with our trip. I've read all of the reviews, and I was a little nervous, but some people complain about everything! First of all the staff is fabulous! Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. I think that if you are pleasant and kind, people respond in the same way.

Our balcony cabin was B607 and we were pleasantly surprised! It was larger than we thought and had lots of closet space. Of course the shower was tiny, but unless you get a suite this is pretty standard. Not a big deal. Our steward, Savio was great! Really tried to make our trip special.

The food was very good. I don't know why people whine about the buffet. Plenty of choices, if you try something you don't like....go get something else!!! You aren't limited in trips to the buffet. We had anytime dining and were usually seated with very nice people. We even made some friends (Mike and Sonya!) on early excursion days we ordered room service breakfast. This was a great time saver! Eat and get ready then just leave the ship . We had one specialty dinner included in our package, they assign it to you on board. We got The Crab Shack. My husband LOVED it. He was in heaven with the huge king crab legs. I'm not much of a seafood eater, but I ate the peel and eat shrimp and it was delicious. This was a very casual dinner. They give you bibs and paper tablecloths. It was fun, but I was way overdressed!
