I traveled with a friend, whom I met on a Galapagos cruise. Thrilled to be sailing the Baltic Sea with visits to Scandinavian countries, from whence came some of my Viking ancestors. Neither of us had been to any of the nations we visited along the Baltic. The arrival in Stockholm to begin our trip and departure in Bergen at the end of the trip were masterfully executed and our baggage handled so we travelers were well taken care of. The ship's Nordic decor is so clean and aesthetically pleasing, our stateroom just wonderful, the activities aboard fun and interesting, from speakers to performances to talks in advance of port visits. The staff, from our steward to the dining room servers, kitchen crew and others is awesome, knowledgeable, helpful, welcoming, courteous and friendly. The food was fabulous in every dining experience aboard. Port visits were well organized and executed. Tour guides were full of interesting, enlightening facts and figures, giving us a balanced overview of each country's culture, architecture, economy, government, education, population and history. The included tours took us into and around the oldest parts of the cities to see the beautiful architecture and cobblestoned streets. The Baltic was mostly calm, smooth sailing, the weather mild with only a couple of rainy days, which didn't spoil our outings ... umbrellas abounded. Months later, many images are still in my head of misty blue-pink hued sunrises in ports, sunny days, multi-colored buildings from many eras and lovely countrysides. I would definitely take this trip again and travel anywhere with Viking, which made it such a world-class experience.

Cabin Review

Cabin deluxe veranda

We enjoyed everything about the cabin, from the uber comfortable beds and linen to the veranda and roomy shower/bathroom. The steward worked so hard and kept us comfortable, tidied our room, freshened our towels and turned down the covers every night.
